Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data to the developer.

The extension does not collect your name, email, location, browsing history, or personally identifiable information.
The extension does not track the websites you visit.
The extension does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Storage

The extension uses Chrome's built-in storage APIs:

Display preferences and favorite teams are stored in chrome.storage.sync. Chrome may sync these settings across browsers signed into your Google account.
Cached match, standings, scorer, and news data is stored locally in chrome.storage.local.

The developer does not receive or have access to this stored data.

Third-Party Data Sources

The extension fetches publicly available match, standings, scorer, and English news data from ESPN. Chinese tournament news is fetched from domestic sports pages operated by NetEase and CCTV. A maintained Chinese player-name dictionary is fetched from this website.

The extension does not include user-entered data in these requests. As with normal web requests, these providers may receive standard network information such as your IP address and user agent.

Permissions

storage: save display preferences, favorite teams, and cached tournament data.
alarms: periodically refresh tournament data.
sidePanel: display World Cup information in Chrome's side panel.
site.api.espn.com: fetch scores, schedules, standings, scorers, and English news.
sports.163.com and sports.cctv.com: fetch Chinese tournament news.
